R20,000 bail granted to the IEC Commissioner Nomsa Masuku

A former Standard Bank employee and current Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) Commissioner Dr Nomsa Masuku (62), was arrested early on Friday by Hawks for corruption amounting to 1.2 million.


SA Police Service reported that, Commissioner Dr Nomsa Masuku has been granted R20,000 bail by the Specialised Commercial Crimes Court sitting in the Palm Ridge Magistrate Court.


The accused also deposited some of the money into her personal bank account without the approval of the Trust's committee. The case is however, postponed to September 4.
